At The Blue Cottage, we are committed to ensuring a smooth and satisfactory shopping experience. We take pride in the quality of our products and handle each order with meticulous care.
As a general policy, we do not offer refunds for products delivered in perfect condition as per the order placed. However, we understand that exceptions may arise. Therefore, we offer refunds in specific circumstances:
Wrongful delivery (product does not match the order confirmation).
Genuine quality/manufacturing defects.
Damage during shipping.
In case the product is unavailable for exchange.
In the rare event of transit damage, The Blue Cottage takes full responsibility, ensuring a worry-free shopping experience.
Eligibility for Refund
Handmade & Hand-painted Products: Due to their unique nature, minor variations in color shades, texture, painting, polish, finish, shape, weight, and size are inherent characteristics. Refunds are not applicable in these scenarios.
Wooden Products: Natural hairline cracks may develop due to temperature and climate changes over time. This is a natural process, and refunds are not applicable.
Antiques & Vintage Collections: These items are not machine-made and may exhibit imperfections, damages, dents, and color blemishes. We preserve their original condition to maintain authenticity. Refunds are not applicable.
Variations in Handmade/Vintage Items: Products may vary slightly from photographs in color, texture, finish, shape, weight, and size. Refunds are not applicable based on these variations.
Timeframe for Claims: Any concerns or disputes must be reported to our Customer Care within 3 business days of delivery. After this period, refunds will not be processed.
Condition of Returned Items: Refund policy will be applicable on the products returned to us without any damage – in original condition.
Packaging and Tags: Items must be unused, unwashed, and returned with all original packaging and tags intact.
Incorrect Delivery Address/Refusal: Refunds are not applicable if the customer provides an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, leading to delivery failure after three attempts, or if the recipient refuses delivery. Additional shipping charges will apply for redelivery.
International Orders/Duty Refusal: For international orders, refunds are not applicable if the customer refuses to pay customs duties and does not collect the order.
These eligibility criteria apply to both domestic and international purchases.
Process to Refund
Documentation: Record an unboxing video and take photographs of the products upon receipt. If you find any incorrect, damaged, or defective items, contact The Blue Cottage Customer Care within 48 hours of delivery, providing the unboxing video and photographs.

Review and Solution: The Blue Cottage team will review your claim and provide a solution within 7 business days.
Exchange Priority: Return or exchange will be the primary solution offered, if accepted by The Blue Cottage. If the product is unavailable for exchange, a full refund will be processed.
Reverse Pickup: For eligible refunds, we will arrange a reverse pickup at our expense. If your location is not serviceable, you will need to ship the items to our address.
Refund Processing: Upon receiving the returned items in their original condition, we will initiate a full refund. Refunds will be processed to your original payment method.
The refund process typically takes 15 business days from the date of reporting the issue.
